She moved the crate across the kitchen floor and hurt herself in the process. I cleaned her up and didn’t eat lunch, just stayed with her. I feel awful. I feel like ULTIMATE DOG JAIL will be retired now. I can replace the cheap crap that fills my life, I can’t replace her.
The damage:

Just stressed and worried about her.

Wow... That’s impressive, hope she didn’t hurt herself too badly.

Holy crap what did Sammy have against that table?!?! Hope Sammy’s OK.

She hates that table! Stay away from the table!

Her dew claws were bleeding. I'm calling the vet to see if she needs to be checked out.

Pretty sure your dog shouldn't be doing that at all, let alone while locked in a crate.

This was an inevitable circumstance. My suspicion is that when you move even further North letting her roam free while you are working will be an acceptable solution. See if you can recoup some money from that ghastly cell and figure out a way to keep her safely chained up in the yard.
Safely means use of a bungee or spring to lessen the shock of spending the entire time running headlong to the edge of enforced perimeter trying to snap the chain. Or escape through any ANY other means.

I hope your both okay.
She may need a lot of help with separation anxiety.

Dang, Is she just stressed in the cage? Or stressed in general?
Poor girl......

Just as an idea - make chew toy out of the table / chair... she already likes chewing it...
I am sure she will be ok. Few licks and good as new.

righto...probably best to have her checked...better safe than sorry
thats one stubborn doggo....probably best to retire the jail..as you say
i think shes probably okay tho...just gotta keep it clean

Gnawing back into the house through the siding has a beyond high probability of happening as well. Total exclusion with nothing to jump over and hang herself.

The chain will happen once the ground thaws.

Stressed when I leave, calm as can be otherwise.

Have you tried a used exercise shirt in her crate? A radio or TV left on may help as well.

Seconding the safety point on any husky containment plans : make sure that whatever the line is attached to cannot be dislodged by any canine means, that the line itself is made of something that can’t really hurt the dog if chewed (i.e. not braided metal cable), and make double sure that the line isn’t long enough under any circumstances to reach a fence . I know of a Malamute that dug the post it was chained to out of the ground, concrete footing and all, dragged it part way but ultimately not far enough across the yard , and then jumped a 6' fence.

You also can tell why I'm not upset about the damage to it.

Should be OK, superficial foot stuff heals fast as long as it’s clean . My shepherd likes to wade in the lake and often bangs up her paws digging around in the rocks underwater , and as long as I clean them up they seem to heal fine...just don’t want anything foreign in there. Dew claws and heel pads are easiest since they’re not on the ground with every step.

The next step from here for my husky with separation anxiety was basically a security blanket: she would steal my wife’s shoes or slippers and just go lie somewhere with them. Not chew on them, just borrow them. Unless something really out of the ordinary happened, like fireworks, that was eventually enough. They all mellow out eventually. You might consider trying a thunder shirt ( or CBD oil if it’s legal where you live) for her anxiety .

I’m Canadian, I could give my dog a joint if it wouldn’t hurt her.
I'll figure something out to comfort her.

Give her something with your smell on it that if she chews up she won't die and it wont be a big deal for you. Used socks, shirts, blankets.

Ah I also had this problem. Solution was a 3/4" sheet of ply with a 4x4 chunk screwed on each side of the crate. Then I carpeted the bottom of the ply for more friction. Dog could not overcome the friction to move the crate anymore. Only casualty was the couch she ate through the crate before I added the friction carpet. .

We gave Rocky a security blanket. He likes to chew on it until he falls asleep.

I thought maybe you were quoting that Roadkill ep I’m halfway through where they build a 454 “Super Sammy” Suzuki Samuari then take it to the desert

You could make an ultimate dog jail that she can’t hurt herself in: start with a metal wire crate, get a bunch of plexiglass, drill small holes through the plexiglass, attach it to the interior of crate using sturdy zip-ties, drill additional holes for ventilation and set up some fans to ensure ventilation is adequate.
But then you have an active system (the fans) whose failure would harm and possibly kill your dog.

My pit decided to play Husky this weekend. Chewed a hole in my kids’ tent and jumped out to get to mine.
